Are you a experienced Software Engineer that wants to get involved in all the latest Cloud tech?

The team run a number of microservice apps on modern cloud platforms like Cloud Foundry (Tanzu) & Kubernetes. We have an opening to join our team as a seasoned developer.

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer your contribution will have a big impact on the products we are developing. Lead on development initiatives within your areas of expertise. As an experienced engineer, you will be able to mentor junior teammates and help steer the technical direction of the team. We take a DevOps approach to our work you will help to scope, design, build and run our services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in developmental toolsets.
  • Proficiency in Java / Spring Boot OR React, with a desire to learn both.
  • Familiarity with Cloud concepts such as PaaS, Containers, Functions
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration, Delivery and a proficiency in Automation
  • Good understanding of web-service frameworks and API management.
  • Understanding and appreciation of Cloud Native development practices and architecture.
  • Relational database schema design knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of automated test & performance tooling

Preferred Qualifications
  • Frontend JavaScript development frameworks (ideally React)
  • Monitoring & instrumentation with modern stack - Prometheus / Grafana
  • Exposure to other general purpose languages such as Golang or Python.
  • Working knowledge of 12 Factor design principles.
  • Proficiency in one or more Cloud Platforms e.g. Azure, AWS, Google, Cloud Foundry, Docker, Kubernetes
